Articles reporting climate change issues contradict each other

Have you ever noticed the headlines of different news portals reporting on record-breaking climate warming? Interestingly, such gloomy news often contradicts each other and defies logic.

Climate change is regularly reported by almost every popular news portal. Regardless of the target audience, most of these articles are quite similar. They alarm people about the catastrophically changing climate, various natural cataclysms, and other disasters. One of the most common ways to shock readers is to claim that a particular country or continent is warming at an incredible rate, outstripping the rest of the world.

For climate change enthusiasts, such articles seem like solid evidence that the entire world is headed for total disaster. However, more observant and critical readers have noticed that these articles can be excellent evidence of an inflated bubble. Different portals have been publishing similar headlines for several years, showcasing the circus run by the media and left-wing organizations:

  • “Canada is warming faster than the rest of the world. Why?” (CBC, 2019)[1]
  • "Africa warming faster than global average: UN report" (CBC, 2020)[2]
  • "The U.S. is warming 60% faster than the world is, National Climate Assessment says: ‘We are not prepared for what’s coming’'" (Fortune, 2023)[3]
  • "‘The science is irrefutable’: US warming faster than global average, says report" (The Guardian, 2023)[4]
  • "Mexico is warming faster than the rest of the planet, they say" (San Diego Red, 2021)[5]
  • "Latin America and the Caribbean warming faster than global average" (Meteored, 2021)[6]
  • "The Arctic has warmed nearly four times faster than the globe since 1979” (Communications Earth & Environment, 2022)[7]
  • "Asia Is Warming Faster Than the Global Average, Warns WMO" (Health Policy Watch, 2024)[8]
  • "Europe warming twice as fast as other continents, warns WMO" (United Nations, 2023)[9]
  • "Russia's Climate Is Heating Up Faster Than the Rest of the World" (Newsweek, 2022)[10]
  • "China warming up faster than rest of the world: Report" (Hindustan Times, 2022)[11]
  • "Finland is warming faster than the rest of the world" (Helsinki Times, 2015)[12]
  • "Australia is Warming Faster than Global Average" (Statista, 2020)[13]
  • "South Pole warming faster than rest of Earth: study" (DW, 2020)[14]

So, if we believe popular news sources, every country or continent is warming faster than everywhere else. This language defies logic. There seems to be a bold idea that if a lie is repeated long enough and loud enough, it will eventually be accepted as truth because no one will check it anyway. Such headlines simply scare people in different countries and eventually make them believe everything said about climate change. Catastrophic headlines are often written by government-sponsored and click-driven media.

Heat waves and various elements are natural phenomena

People who read more than mainstream media articles that cite certain favorable scientists are well aware that the current talk about climate change is highly questionable. They know that science is not so simple and hard-wired when it comes to climate and future predictions.

They also realize that a few slaughtered cows, the use of electric cars, and other things now presented as the main solutions to the coming hell cannot have a significant impact on the climate. And most importantly, critical thinkers understand that zero carbon dioxide emissions are hardly possible at all.

People often claim that heat waves or various uncontrollable elements ravaging different countries are clear evidence of climate warming. However, looking at the Earth's climate over a long period, it is easy to see that the world has experienced both hot and cold periods, as well as various natural disasters. Weather itself, even in the short term, is a rather unpredictable phenomenon.

Some experts repeat there is no climate catastrophe

Various specialists also discuss this. More and more eminent professors and academics are saying that perhaps the world is not in such a dangerous situation as politicians and climate activists who try to "push" green ideas suggest. Many scientists argue that there is no such thing as a catastrophe.

For example, last year, a coalition of 1,609 world scientists, including two Nobel Prize laureates, signed an important declaration. It states that "the climate change situation is not critical" and that they "strongly oppose the harmful net-zero CO2 policies" currently being promoted almost worldwide[15].

Back in 2019, a group of 500 prominent scientists signed a similar document. This document was sent to the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN)[16]. Even then, it was emphasized that climate policy must be implemented in a way that does not harm humanity. However, it seems that this document and other calls from some experts have been ignored.
