Polio vaccination campaign in Gaza progressing faster than expected, WHO says

Reuters reports that the World Health Organization (WHO) 's polio vaccination campaign in the Gaza Strip is progressing faster than expected.

Over 161,000 children under the age of 10 have been vaccinated against the virus in the central Gaza Strip in the first two days, WHO Representative for the Palestinian Territories Rick Peeperkorn said. It was expected that 150 000 would be vaccinated in two days.
