Pharmaceutical giant admits dangers of its vaccines

UK pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca has admitted that its vaccine against COVID-19 can cause a rare side effect called thrombotic thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS). This admission comes at a time when the company is facing lawsuits alleging that the vaccine has caused serious harm or even death to some patients.

AstraZeneca, which worked with the University of Oxford to develop the coronavirus vaccine, is currently involved in legal proceedings initiated by victims and their families.

One such case involves a British man, Jamie Scott, a father of two, who took legal action after he developed health problems caused by a blood clot, which left him unable to work for some time. Scott claims that he developed a blood clot and a brain hemorrhage following vaccination in April 2021, which caused him to suffer permanent brain damage[1].

J. Scott's spouse, Kate, argues that the medical world has long recognized that vaccines can cause immune thrombocytopenia and thrombosis. However, in May 2023, representatives of the pharmaceutical giant informed the family's lawyers that they did not accept the claims that their vaccine caused these health problems.

Only now, after years of legal wrangling, has the multinational pharmaceutical company admitted its responsibility in a legal document filed in the UK Supreme Court.

"It is acknowledged that AstraZeneca's vaccine can cause TTS in very rare cases. The causal mechanism is not known," the documents state.

The injured family demanded an apology and compensation from the pharmaceutical company. In total, 51 cases have been brought before the UK Supreme Court, in which victims and their families are seeking damages in excess of £100 million.

Thrombosis is a rare but extremely dangerous condition

Thrombosis Thrombocytopenia Syndrome (TTS) is a very rare condition characterized by the formation of blood clots (thrombosis) and low platelet counts (thrombocytopenia). The condition may also be called vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT).

Symptoms of TTS can be very sudden and severe. Individuals experience persistent headaches, visual impairment, chest pain, shortness of breath, swelling of the legs or persistent abdominal pain.

The condition may also be indicated by easy bruising or small blood spots under the skin extending beyond the injection site.

In 2023, the World Health Organisation (WHO) highlighted TTS as an adverse reaction of concern, occurring specifically after immunization with Covid-19 vaccines[2].

This alert covered AstraZeneca's ChAdOx-1 vaccine and Johnson & Johnson's (J&J) Ad26.COV2-S vaccines.

Myocarditis and other health risks are linked to vaccines

Previous research on coronavirus vaccines has revealed a number of risks to health and even human life.

One such study confirmed that the Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines have been linked in some cases to myocarditis and pericarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle and lining.

The incidence of myocarditis increased most after the second dose of the Moderna vaccine. The controversial character that had many scandals during the pandemic, Dr Anthony Fauci, former Director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has also spoken publicly about this.

Studies have confirmed that neurological and bleeding disorders may be associated with the AstraZeneca vaccine.

In the US, this problem has also been linked to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. A possible link between the first dose of Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines and rare neurological conditions has also been identified.

Preliminary data analyzed by US health authorities in 2023 showed that an updated injection of COVID-19 by the US drug manufacturer Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech could cause a stroke.

In 2022, a study was published in the scientific journal Nature demonstrating the link between the coronavirus vaccine and more health problems.

It found that between January and May 2021, the number of cardiac arrests and acute coronary syndrome cases increased by more than 25% compared to 2019-2020, which was significantly associated with the number of doses of the first and second vaccines administered to the population aged 16-39.

The study also showed that after vaccination, the most common health outcomes may include coronary thrombosis, acute coronary syndrome, and even cardiac arrest.

Recently, a prominent Belgian virologist shared a gloomy prognosis: Professor Geert Vanden Bossche, PhD, warned that those in the population who chose to be vaccinated during the pandemic could soon be faced with a massive and imminent tsunami of disease and death.

"I predict a huge, huge tsunami of disease and death among the vaccinated population whose immune systems are compromised. You will see what will happen, for example, in the next few weeks. More and more serious long-term cases of COVID-19 will lead to a wave of cancer diagnoses. Now we have a more chronic phase. It will end in a hyperacute phase, a huge, huge wave. I have been researching this for four years. I know what I am talking about. I am probably the only person who understands the immunology behind this, I would not be proud to say," says Bossche.

For those who have already received the vaccine, Bossche advises them to actively protect their immune system and, in particular, to avoid re-infection with coronavirus.
