T. Swift becomes the first female artist to earn a billion from music alone

Taylor Swift has officially become the world's richest singer, with a fortune of $1.6 billion. She overtook Rihanna, who has a fortune of USD 1.4 billion. Rihanna's wealth is partly due to her Fenty Beauty brand, while Swift's wealth has come from her music and concert tours, in particular the recent success of her Eras Tour[1].

The singer will become a billionaire in October 2023 thanks to royalties, income from her music albums and profits from her tours. In October 2024, Forbes updated its list of billionaires and ranked her as the 24th "Richest American" and the 2454th "World's Billionaire".

"Forbes also noted that Ms Swift is the first singer to achieve billionaire status primarily through her music and performances, making her achievement even more significant.

Swift's Eras Tour reportedly generated a whopping $600 million worth of royalties and touring, a catalogue of music (worth more than $600 million) and real estate (worth approximately $125 million).

The singer actively supports LGBTQ+ ideology and same-sex marriage

Despite her immense popularity and influence, the singer is engaged in spreading the Western rainbow ideology and does so openly during her concerts.

During her Eras Tour in Chicago, Swift was vocal in her support for the LGBTQ community. Performing at Soldier Field, Swift stressed the importance of inclusivity, calling the concert a "safe space" and welcoming audiences of all backgrounds. Moreover, she referred to the recent allegedly harmful legislation and urged her fans to vote for equality[2].

Swift has been an active supporter of LGBTQ+ rights since 2018, using her platform and huge following to support them, and rumors about her bisexuality have been circulating in the public domain for some time. Although she does not publicly share her personal life, Swift has stressed that she does so through music. And the superstar's musical webs are full of racy lyrics.

In a 2019 interview with Vogue, she declared that she is not a member of the LGBTQ+ community, although she continues to support it. So far, she has not made any statements that suggest she identifies as bisexual.

Swift, who influences hundreds of millions of people, is not so innocent - she has also publicly expressed support for Democratic candidates

There is no doubt that Swift's influence on young people is immense. This is why the "engines" of LGBTQ+ ideology are so lucky, because a famous face has the opportunity to shape the opinions of hundreds of millions of people every day (T. Swift's Instagram account is followed by more than 270 million people, her X account by 92 million, her TikTok account by more than 25 million, and her YouTube channel is subscribed to by more than 50 million people).

In 2019, Swift publicly supported the Equality Act, legislation aimed at protecting LGBTQ+ people from discrimination. She actively encouraged her fans to petition their Senators to support the Act, which she highlighted in her speech at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards. She also wrote a public letter to Senator Lamar Alexander urging him to support the law, including it in her social media campaign.

What's more, in the same year, she released the hit song "You Need to Calm Down", which featured in the music video famous LGBTQ+ celebrities such as Ellen DeGeneres, RuPaul and others. The video ends with a call for viewers to support the Equality Act by directing them to Swift's petition[3].

In 2020, she worked with groups like Vote.org to encourage young people to register to vote. Her support for political candidates who support LGBTQ+ rights, for example, in the 2020 US elections, resonated with her huge following. For this reason, there is talk that Swift may be the one to "save" Kamala Harris in this US presidential election.

For years, Swift has been criticized for her political neutrality, but in 2018 she made a decisive change and endorsed the Democratic candidates in her home state of Tennessee, citing their support for LGBTQ+ rights as the main reason.
