Oasis' brothers reunite and plan a world tour

On Tuesday, legendary British rock band Oasis announced that they will reunite for a world tour next year, starting in the UK. The reunion comes after brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher ended a 15-year feud.

The band, who helped create the Britpop era of the 1990s with the hit songs "Wonderwall", "Don't Look Back In Anger" and "Champagne Supernova", have announced on the X platform that they will play shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and the Irish capital, Dublin.

"Guns are silent. The stars have aligned favourably. The great wait is over. Come and see. It won't be on TV," Oasis announced the tour after days of hints and speculation about a reunion.

Long-feuding brothers will start the tour next summer

The band will kick off the tour on 4 July 2025 with two concerts at the Principality Stadium in the Welsh capital, Cardiff, followed by six shows at Hytton Park in their hometown, Manchester.

The band will play at London's Wembley Stadium on 2 and 3 August and in the Scottish capital of Edinburgh on 8 and 9 August. Later in the year, the tour is scheduled to continue on other continents.

Formed in Manchester in 1991, Oasis is credited with revitalizing Britpop and has caught the attention of fans with the public battles between Liam and Noel and their rivalry with London's Blur.

Fans were not expecting this due to huge Oasis personalities

Tensions between the brothers erupted in Paris in 2009 at the Rock en Seine festival when Liam smashed one of Noel's guitars. Since the angry break-up, the brothers no longer play together, but both regularly perform their old band's hits to packed houses. Until now, their public interactions have mainly been about attacking each other on social networks.

The reunion comes 30 years after Oasis' 1995 album "(What's the Story) Morning Glory?" received international critical and commercial acclaim. The brothers have hinted at reconciliation before, with Noel saying, "Never say never" about the band's comeback last year.
