A good morning routine guarantees productivity for the whole day

Early morning sets the tone for the whole day, determining productivity, personal satisfaction and well-being. From a cold shower to sunlight, anything that gets your body moving can boost your mood and energy[1].

During the night, the body loses a lot of water through breathing and sweating. So, one litre of water a day not only improves brain function but also boosts metabolism, preparing the body for the day ahead. It is recommended to start the day with a full glass of water and sip water slowly throughout the day.

Caffeine consumption also has its benefits.

Some sources suggest that drinking coffee within an hour of waking up matches the body's natural cortisol levels. Therefore, such a regime is extremely beneficial. This timing of caffeine intake helps to maintain a constant energy level throughout the day. Whether you are a morning person - the so-called "morning person" - or not, developing a routine that promotes well-being is essential to staying productive and increasing your efficiency[2].

However, to start the morning off right, proper rest is also important.

Since some of us need to do a bit of planning to get eight hours of sleep each night, it is a good idea to start relaxing at the end of the day. In particular, it is advisable to avoid activities that put a strain on the body, such as, say, exercise at a late hour. Rather, take a warm bath, read a book, etc. Some people are quick to add that it is just as important to follow one golden rule and... keep your slippers next to your bed. This can supposedly increase the motivation to get out of bed on chilly mornings.
Finally, while strictly following the rules, let's also not forget the 'little sins': sweet cocoa or a fresh muffin in the morning. Unlike in the morning, the stomach should rest in the evening, so eating at least a couple of hours before bed is not recommended. Breakfast, meanwhile, should be eaten at a consistent time each day.

Exercise improves mood and gives energy

You may have had time to eat, drink water and find your slippers beforehand. But some people may run out of energy during the day - especially those who don't exercise every day. Active people are actually more relaxed and in a better mood, and they also sleep better and normally feel a greater burst of energy. Finally, no matter how difficult it is to do certain things, remember: all you need to do is to develop the habit and then it will happen.

Do your morning exercise. And there's plenty to choose from: from jogging around the neighborhood to exercising on a stationary bike while watching the morning news. Whether you work out every day or several times a week, incorporating exercise into your week is very beneficial[3].

Use manifestation. Tell yourself that you are grateful for your work, program yourself for a successful week by complimenting yourself, etc. Most importantly, you do this every day, taking at least a minute to self-program. You can also write positive affirmations in a scrapbook, thus developing a more positive attitude.

Meditate. Meditation has great benefits. Create a routine by combining the positive affirmations mentioned above with a breathing exercise: on the exhale, let go of what you are not happy with, and on the inhale, repeat to yourself what you would like to see in your life. For example, "I breathe in peace, I breathe out fear," etc., for at least a few minutes a day.

Focus on important tasks. Take time each morning to review and prioritize your day's tasks. Ranking each task in order of importance and writing them down in sequence will help you become more organized, focused, and purposeful.

Listen to motivating music. Listen to your favorite artist in the morning before work - it will make you smile and move your body.

Volunteering will inspire you even on the gloomiest day

Many of us are quite easily overwhelmed by thoughts and emotions - as if life were a juggling act, with balls falling to the ground...

But there's no better feeling than the one we get from helping someone else - someone who really needs help. Not only will it inspire us, but it will also involve those around us in developing relationships and fostering community.

Yes, every day is full of obstacles and lessons. So it is valuable to do a retrospective - take a few moments each morning to reflect on yesterday's achievements. Let's say, perhaps, to reflect on what went well and what could be improved. There is no doubt that these insights will make the morning routine a great one and increase the productivity of the day. Sometimes a healthy breakfast, focused reflection and exercise are enough to give our lives a new lease of life and our day a new lease of life.

It is advisable to get up and go to bed at similar times

Our circadian rhythm - the internal clock that governs our sleep-wake cycle - has a profound effect on energy, mood and productivity. It is, therefore, very important to synchronize your daily life with these natural rhythms - not only to extend your life expectancy but also to balance your mental activity, keeping you productive throughout the day.

So, take your time and choose a routine that promotes happiness and maintains work-life balance. After all, even a forced smile sends a signal to the brain that helps you feel happy.
